hello,
I'm coming from buffalo the friday before the tourny in oct at oxbow. I've been doing web searches for a hotel. does anyone know if the roadway is an okay place? cheapest I've come up with.

If its the place im thinking about, i wouldnt recommend staying there. there is a Days Inn right off the thruway in canastota that is much nicer. the 2 hotels are like 500 feet away from each other.
from my search results it would even be cheaper to stay at the days inn by $1.

conrad- if I don't go to the USDGC(looking very doubtful now) I will have a hotel room about 12min away and plenty of floor space. no charge for floor space. I'll be staying at the Turning Stone hotel- which is VERY nice.

save money on hotel- get $30 buffet? lol

The buffet at the Turning Stone Casino is awesome.  All you can eat with Prime Rib, shrimp, italian, chinese, etc.  It is somewhere around $16 or $17 but definately worth it.
