The New York State Championships will be held at Chainbiters Disc Golf Course (aka Brown's Farm) in South Dayton, NY on June 29th and 30th. This is one of the best courses to play and coolest places to hangout for the weekend, thanks to the Browns' awesome hospitality and love of the sport.
This year there are 2 qualifiers! As usual, the winner of the Open division wins a spot as the New York State Representative to the United States Disc Golf Championship in Rock Hill, SC Oct. 2-5. http://www.usdgc.com/
Last year I had the pleasure of attending by default. (I finished 6th at States!) What an incredible experience that was. Hopefully, disc golf will grow to the point when all major events are this impressive. Luckily, they've invited State coordinators again this year. So, who wants to join me in Rock Hill?
The winner of the MA1 division wins the spot to the 2014 United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship at the Kensington Toboggan course in Milford, MI. http://usadgc.com/
I've heard this is one of the most challenging courses anywhere in the world.
Both winners will have their entry fee and hotel paid for by the clubs, leagues, and donators throughout New York State.
Also, the top 15% or the MA1 field qualify to play at the USADGC.
So, get out to the Farm to have some fun and enjoy disc golf at its finest! Register at https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/New_York_Championships_2013/register
