Am I reading this correctly? You're holding as a PDGA sanction event? How about not give them money for nothing and give it to charity?
We are sanctioning though PDGA Competition Endowment Program. The purpose we are doing this and we did this also last year is to get more money to our charity. The PDGA provides cheaper insurance. Reducing our overall cost and allowing more $$ to get to the charity. Cheapest insurance we have found for the ice bowl is ~$300. The sanctioning though PDGA with insurance doesn't cost us that much.
Plus there's a few bonuses with the program.
$50 Sanctioning Fee
$50 Proof of Insurance (if needed)
*** Application must be received a minimum of 45 days prior to the event! ***
$2 PDGA per player fee is donated to the event charity and must be matched by the event
In addition to the matched $2 PDGA per player fee, a min. of 25% of the net entry fees must also be donated to event charity.
Example: (Based on $20 Gross Entry Fee)

-2 PDGA Per Player Fee
-2 Player Fee Match
$16 Net Entry
-4 25% of Net Entry Fee
$12 Toward Payout
$ 8 Charity Donation Per Player
$10 non-current member fee is waived or may be charged by the TD and donated to the event charity along with the $2 PDGA per Player fee (matched by event) and 25% of net entry fees.
